HOW IT STARTED

For the past 30 or more years, this land was a jungle with a lot of thorny vines and very dense grass and bushes only a little sunlight can penetrate. It was a riverbed before, where the ground is composed of 20% soil and 80% sand and rock which made it not suitable for farming. Last November of 2021, when Mike and his Dad, visited the area, the east side of the area was full of garbage so they decided to place a perimeter fence and clear the area for development. When the clearing started and saw the sunlight penetrate the once dense jungle, Mike instantly fell in love with the beauty of the trees. He decided to develop this as a Camping ground and a  Relaxation Farm. He knew that places like this are hard to find these days.

The location is still under development but Camping, Forest Bathing, Picnics, Event Celebrations, and Relaxing with nature is now available. The Relaxation Farm is powered by the sun, using solar-powered lights to brighten the area in the evening. Wildlife, specifically, birds, are very alive on the Camp and it is very relaxing the hear them sing as you lay in your hammock, in your tent, or on the ground. Mike and his dad are starting to plant fruit-bearing trees to be available to campers and visitors soon.

Camp Ho'omaha Relaxation Farm respects nature so much and advocates Campers and visitors to respect and not destroy nature. We know that, as humans, we need to go back to nature to recharge and let go of all the stress that we are getting from our day-to-day activities. Mental health is so important so don't hesitate to visit us and recharge from nature!
